Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, both 63, were the first celebrities to reveal that they had tested positive for COVID-19 a couple of weeks ago. They were in Australia at the time.

The pair remained in the country down under, opting to self-isolate themselves to prevent spreading the disease. Hanks suspended filming of an Elvis Presley biopic he went to work on.

Hanks and Wilson getting better

The couple has released a few updates since then. Most recently, they shared good news on Sunday about how they feel two weeks into the diagnosis.

Hanks took to Twitter and noted: "Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better." He added: "Sheltering in place works like this: You don't give it to anyone - You don't get it from anyone. Common sense, no?"

Hanks delays production of biopic

Right after their diagnosis, Hanks and Wilson remained quarantined in the Queensland hospital for five days. They were then discharged and self-quarantined at their home in Australia.

As of March 17, Tom Hanks was the only member of the Elvis Presley biopic production to have tested positive for coronavirus. Still, the entire project was put on hold as a result.

A film representative stated: "Working closely with the Queensland Health Department, we have delayed our start date by approximately two weeks to allow for their full recovery."

Hanks' son Chet defends him

In those two weeks, rumors and conspiracy theories about the actor surfaced. Hanks' son Chet Haze promptly took to social media to address them.

The rapper did so in a joking manner, parodying the theories and saying sarcastic things like, "if someone wrote it on the Internet, you know it must be true."

Rita Wilson raps in quarantine

Meanwhile, Wilson has occupied herself with fun activities during self-quarantine. On Sunday, as her husband prepared their update, the actress did a hilarious rap video that went on for just over four minutes.

"Quarantine stir crazy," the "Now and Then" actress wrote in the caption. In the video, she rapped to Naughty by Nature's hit 1992 track, "Hip Hop Hooray."

Her fans loved her for it in the comments section. They're probably even happier now to learn that her health is improving along with her husband. We wish the two a full recovery.
