Hoda Kotb is celebrating all birthdays despite the coronavirus pandemic keeping her and her family inside. Perhaps her fiancé liked it this way, anyway.

On Sunday, Hoda Kotb shared a sweet photo of her and her family as they celebrated fiancé Joel Schiffman's 62nd birthday at home. The party was more intimate than they'd hoped.

Over two slides, we see Kotb and Schiffman with their adopted daughters Haley Joy, three, and Hope Catherine, 11 months. Kotb's mom was also meant to attend, but she stayed home due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The family is practicing social distancing and self-quarantine like most of the nation to quell the spread of COVID-19. To get around it, Kotb and Schiffman made use of technology.

In the first slide, we see Schiffman seated in front of a table with a large rectangular cake on it. Beyond the treat is an iPad. The two are on a facetime call with Kotb's mom.

The second slide was more of a family portrait, except that little Hope was slightly out of the frame. Schiffman also has a 25-year-old daughter named Kyle from his previous relationship.

Kotb and Schiffman got engaged last November, six years into dating. Although the "Today Host" was and still is 55, she noted that the proposal couldn't have come at a better time in her life.

The timing is just right for the host

Speaking to People, the tv personality explained: "Everything may look out of order, and it kind of feels it a little bit, but it is all right on time." The same is not being said about COVID-19.

Earlier this month, fans were excited when Kotb returned to the "Today Show" after taking time off due to the flu. They took to Twitter to share their appreciation for the host.

Hoda still works in the studio

Unfortunately, soon after, this became the only way that fans could react to anything to do with the show since the studio decided to stop using a live audience.

However, fans are lucky that the show is still being filmed at all. Most other daytime shows have opted to stop in-studio taping, with many popular hosts taping unofficially from their own home.

Of course, when Kotb goes in for work, she makes sure to practice social-distancing and regular hand-washing. We hope she and her family continue to remain safe.
