The artist revealed that he never anticipated a Coronavirus pandemic when the release date was chosen. He went forward with the time, and the album thrived against all the odds reaching 1 billion streams within the first week.

He hopes that his album can help people through tough times and also commended the workers on the frontline:

"It's been amazing to see the real heroes shine in our world right now, the healthcare workers, the grocery store clerks, and staff, delivery people, first responders..."

The new album continues to stand out as not only does it have a unique release time; it also happens to be featureless. This does not often occur in the world of hip-hop.

The musician is not against features because he has featured in albums by other musicians, and this makes his actions even more surprising. "After Hours" also comes with a special message from him:

"Let the music heal us all during these dark times."

PENTHOUSE ON THE HILLS

The Weeknd recently got a bachelor pad located in Beverly Hills, California. The property which seats at the top floor of an exclusive skyscraper is worth a whopping twenty-five million dollars!

The penthouse, which has four bedrooms, covers over 8000 Square feet. It also features culinary excellence in the form of a chef's kitchen designed by Antonio Citterio.

Astonishing views of the city can be seen through the glass windows and balconies encircle. The espresso bar and home gym are the cherries on the cake.

IT'S A SHUTDOWN!

Back in 2019, The Weekend shut down one of the most extensive streets in Las Vegas to shoot what was suspected to be a music video.

It was the closest look at his upcoming music project at the time.TMZ got the clip showing the hip hop star running down the street in a red jacket, sunglasses, and a pair of dress shoes that are not exactly suitable for running.

The video was quite short, but it was enough evidence that some fantastic new music from The Weekend was in the works.
