Hoda Kotb of 'Today' Might Postpone Wedding Plans Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
Hoda Kotb expressed her expectations regarding the possibility of having a wedding amid the coronavirus pandemic. Everything's been organized, but whether or not it will go through, she's not sure.
Hoda Kotb, 55, is ready to get married to fiancé Joel Schiffman, 62. Unfortunately, there's a pandemic going on that may cause the pair to delay tying the knot.
DailyMailTV reportedly spoke to the talk show host about the chances of her postponing her wedding because of COVID-19. Kotb said things are still in motion for now.

Kotb hopes wedding happens as planned
The "Today Show" host revealed that the date has been scheduled and booking taken care of. For now, she said she is "hopeful" that things can go through as planned.
However, the journalist noted that she's not entirely sure what will be the results of the current crisis, which calls for everyone to stay home in self-quarantine and avoid large gatherings.

She knows what's most important
She stated: "I'm hopeful that we can keep our fall wedding date. But we're open." She added, "I was just saying to Joel, 'I don't care where we get married. Honey, I don't care.' "
Kotb admitted that while she would love to have a destination wedding, she'd be just as happy just to get it done. The pandemic has reminded her that what's most important is to spend time with family and friends.
Kotb and Jenna celebrate anniversary
Kotb is currently the only host still filming the "Today" segment in the studio. Co-host Jenna Bush works from home and hasn't seen her engaged colleague in six weeks.
The pair celebrated their first work anniversary on Wednesday morning with a special Instagram live video for fans. Viewers got to see some behind-the-scenes from Kotb when she finally got it working.
The two women also answered fan questions about working together. One of the questions was if they were comfortable working together from the start. Kotb explained that they were because of past interactions.
Kotb reveals wedding plans
Back in February, Kotb spoke to People about her upcoming wedding to her partner of six years. At the time, the tv personality imagined warm weather and palm trees.
She said she wanted at least "one beautiful moment," and the rest of it will be drunk dancing. Kotb hopes to have her wedding in the fall, she told Ellen DeGeneres in January.
Kotb and Schiffman got engaged on a beach in Mexico last November. The reporter and mom-of-two is looking forward to another beachside event.
Missing her mom amid COVID-19
Speaking to E! News, Kotb also revealed that her mom has been making a lot of decisions regarding the wedding, including what dress she'll wear. Recently, Kotb opened up about how much she's missing her mother.
While Kotb is quarantining with her immediate family, including her fiancé, her mom has been living alone in quarantine. In a segment of the "Today Show," Kotb got emotional about the situation.
Kotb knows that her mother is more vulnerable due to her age, so the two are staying apart. She took solace in her mom's positive thinking. We hope the two can reunite very soon.
