Gabby Sidibe of 'Empire' Says Quarantine Has Humbled Her Edges

Popular American actress Gabby Sidibe took to social media to speak about the effects the quarantine is having on her.

Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe made her acting debut in a film titled "Precious." The role earned her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, in addition to nominations for the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Actress.

The 36-year-old award winner recently took to her Instagram page with seemingly great news — her edges seem to be growing out. She captioned a selfie that also featured her cat:

"This quarantine has humbled my edges."

The comments section was overrun with fans who could relate to the post. Most tagged the necessary quarantine, a "head-wrap" season referring to the famous hair care routine.

Sidibe is currently in a relationship with Brandon Frankel, a man who, according to his Instagram bio, is reportedly into entertainment, marketing, and branding — back in 2017, he was named one of Billboard's branding power players.

Frankel and Sidibe's relationship can be traced as far back as May 2019.

At the start of the new year, Sidibe took to her Instagram page to praise Frankel as "the cherry on top of this last decade and the foundation of the next."

She said Frankel makes her happier than she had ever been and the praise came in response to his heartwarming tribute to her on his Instagram page.

The lovestruck man had shared pictures of himself and Sidibe having fun with his pet cats on New year's Eve — the pair were pictured in coordinating sweatshirts that had the words "King" and "Queen."

In his captions, he reflected on what he hoped 2020 would bring the couple's relationship, while admitting that he is grateful for how much Sidibe has pushed him to be a better version of himself.

Frankel named her his "queen" and affirmed that the actress is a ball of sunshine who has a generous heart that is full of love.

According to Your Tango, Frankel and Sidibe's relationship can be traced as far back as May 2019. That's reportedly when Sidibe first showed up on his Instagram page, and it looks like they've been inseparable ever since.

They closed out 2019 together, and it seems Sidibe and Frankel already have a lot to look forward to in spending 2020 together, too.
