Martin Lawrence's Ex-wife Patricia Smith & NFL Player Emmit Smith Celebrate 20th Anniversary

It has been 20 years of marital bliss for Pat Smith and her man, Emmitt Smith, and they took to social media to celebrate the milestone.

To mark the special occasion of their 20th wedding anniversary, Pat Smith, a published author and journalist, and her husband, Emmitt Smith, exchanged sweet messages on social media.

While Pat tweeted a simple “Happy 20th Wedding Anniversary!!!!” with a love emoji and kissy-face, her man tweeted a longer message that read:

“I will always be here for you and I can’t wait to see what the next 20 hold for us. @PatSmithTY!! Love, E.”

The NFL player and the author, who share three children, have been dishing out #couplegoals since they walked down the aisle in 2000.

Lawrence, however, filed for divorce from Shamicka in 2012 and by 2017, the “Martin” star proposed to Roberta Moradfar following months of dating.

Asides having a seemingly successful marriage, Britannica reported that Emmitt gained more fame when he became the all-time leading rusher in NFL history in 2002. He, however, retired after the 2004 season with 18,355 yards rushing.

In fact, Emmitt took things up a notch when they told The Dallas Morning News that they wanted to live their life like they aren’t celebrities.

While it seems that Pat has found her Prince Charming, fans are worried about her ex-husband, Martin Lawrence, as they recalled that the pair walked down the aisle back in 1995.

During their short-lived union, the duo one child, Jasmin Page Lawrence. According to Cheat Sheet, since their split in 1997, Martin has been with several women including Shamicka Gibbs whom he married in 2010.

Lawrence, however, filed for divorce from Shamicka in 2012 and by 2017, the “Martin” star proposed to Roberta Moradfar following months of dating.

Fans have shared their hopes that this would be the happily-ever-after that the actor so clearly deserves.
