Dwyane Wade of NBA Jokes Daughter Kaavia Wants Him to Go Back to Work
Retired NBA superstar Dwyane Wade is giving off all forms of cool daddy vibes this week. His daughter, Kaavia James, is also getting in on some of the fun.
Just yesterday, the former Miami Heat point guard shared a picture on Instagram where he posed with his little angel. The 1-year-old looks dapper in a grey hoodie and a grey T-shirt, and she even throws some bling on for good measure.
Dwyane, however, sports a cap and a zipped-up pattern jacket as he poses sheepishly for the camera. Kaavia looks a tad distracted by something else, as she looks away from the camera candidly. Dwyane, however, is all in on the shenanigans.
Dwyane appears to notice her disenchantment with what he’s doing, and he pokes some fun at himself in the process. He captioned the image:
“I think she’s ready for me to go back to work. She isn’t always here for silly daddy time.??♂️”

Kaavia has become an Internet sensation of late, with her sullen faces always managing to steal the spotlight.
Last month, she took things to new heights when she and Dwyane appeared on an episode of “NBA on TNT." Despite the best efforts of Shaquille O’Neal to make her laugh, however, she hardly flinched.
Dwyane and Gabrielle have also been showing their philanthropic side recently.
The Wade family has done their bit to keep fans engaged throughout this quarantine period. Gabrielle Union, Dwyane’s wife, recently shared a picture of the couple by the pool as they enjoyed some time at home.
Dwyane shows off his athletic frame, while Gabrielle stuns in a beautiful blue bikini. The couple also enjoyed some white wine from D Wade Cellars, the former basketball star’s line of California wine. Along with the picture, she said:
“Time for the Wine Down! Cheers to the weekend good people.”
Dwyane and Gabrielle have also been showing their philanthropic side of late; they recently donated to the LGBTQ community. The undisclosed donation will ensure that members can access the healthcare they need amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The couple also recently announced a line of T-shirts, with half the proceeds they make going to the GLSEN Foundation.
The foundation helps place LGBTQ children in schools where they can be safe from discrimination and bullying.
Given that Dwyane’s daughter, Zaya, recently came out as transgender, they appear to be endearing themselves to the LGBTQ community more.
