Melania Trump Reportedly Sends Care Gifts to Hospitals in 10 States for Medical Workers & Kids
Two days before First Lady Melania Trump rang in her 50th birthday, she reportedly sent care packages to hospitals situated in some of the US states hit the hardest by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
On Friday, the Associated Press reported that ten states received care packages meant for medical workers and children sent to unspecified hospitals.

WHERE THE PACKAGES WENT
States earmarked for the care packages include the District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Lousiana, New York, Nevada, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
In a statement, Melania Trump shared that she sent the packages as a "small token of [her] appreciation" towards the "courage and leadership" shown by the medical community during this difficult time, adding that they have gone "above and beyond to protect" American citizens.
WHAT THEY CONTAINED
Under the emblem of the first lady's "Be Best" campaign, the packages sport all sorts of goodies for children such as games, books, pencils, stickers, backpacks, and other items such as caps and blankets.
MELANIA'S MILESTONE
Two days later, the White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany shared a few words of appreciation towards Melania on her birthday and wrote on social media:
"Happy Birthday to @FLOTUS – America is so blessed to have you as our First Lady!”
Melania, who left Slovenia for the US in 1996, spent the special day with her family at the White House, according to her chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, and President Trump also took to social media with a tribute to his wife.
"Happy Birthday to Melania, our great First Lady!" Donald wrote to his wife and former model of the past fifteen years.
DIGGING FOR A GOOD CAUSE
A busy week for the presidential pair, Donald and Melania also made sure to show their support of Earth Day last week.
Taking to social media with a picture of them planting a maple tree, the South Lawn of the White House gained a growing reminder of the nation's "dedication to conservation" and their "admiration" for the wonders of the natural world.
