Toni Braxton Responds to Dennis Rodman Dating Rumors with Throwback Photos

Toni Braxton explained the photos of her and Dennis Rodman that reappeared from the past and clarified rumors alleging they once dated.

Toni Braxton is clearing up rumors about her association with Dennis Rodman back in the 90s. According to the singer who’s now engaged to Birdman, she never dated the basketball star.

WHAT TONI HAD TO SAY

Toni tweeted denying allegations that she ever dated Dennis. These allegations were spawned by the release of Michael Jordan’s documentary, “Last Dance” which featured photos of Dennis with Toni.

...now that Toni has said her peace, people should just focus on her current relationship with Birdman. According to the singer, they’re set to tie the knot this year.

Sharing some of these throwback photos, Toni denied she ever dated the notorious athlete who was also linked to Madonna and Carmen Electra. Toni explained,

“Even though @dennisrodman was kinda hot in the 90s, I never dated Dennis Rodman. We were at the VMAs. #TheLastDance.”

The public was initially shocked by the alleged match-up between Toni and Dennis with many thinking the latter was the real GOAT and not Michael Jordan.

But now that Toni has said her peace, people should just focus on her current relationship with Birdman. According to the singer, they’re set to tie the knot this year.

ON SETTING A WEDDING DATE

Toni admitted it took a while for them to settle on a wedding date but they both agreed they didn’t want a big wedding. She also admitted that they had been keeping a low profile about their relationship because of all the hate it was receiving.

"It’s just sometimes, people just have too much of any opinion, I think socially, if you’re reading on stuff, and I didn’t like that. So we decided we were gonna keep our life quieter.”

HICCUPS ALONG THE WAY

The couple went through some problems during their engagement. For one thing, they couldn’t seem to pin a wedding date due to their schedules. At one point, Birdman suggested a “drive-thru” wedding just to get it over with but Toni was against it.

At the beginning of the year, trouble loomed when it appeared they had called off their engagement. However, these rumors were soon quashed when Birdman surpised Toni’s audience by appearing on stage to greet her during a performance.

Birdman and Toni were friends for a long time before announcing they were in a relationship in 2018. They both have children from previous relationships.
