WWE Legend John Cena Surprises 7-Year-Old Cancer Patient Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

WWE superstar, John Cena continues to make wishes come true despite the danger posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

At a time when staying indoors is the new normal, leaving home is almost entirely avoided by most people but not John Cena.

The pandemic has not stopped John from putting smiles on people's faces by granting wishes. Recently, John Cena surprised a 7-year-old boy, David, who is suffering from a life-threatening disease.

John visited David at his home in Odessa, and he presented the little one with lots of stuff, including two WWE title belts.

David was very excited about seeing one of his favorite wrestlers, and his reaction even included some tears of joy. Lots of people, including Austin Kellerman who tweeted about John's visit to Odessa commended the wrestler's efforts:

The WWE star collaborates with the "Make-A-Wish" foundation to make people's wishes come to life, and he's granted about 650 wishes so far.

John, who holds the record for the highest number of wishes granted by a celebrity, is also involved in other aspects of philanthropy.

The star wrestler is set to donate a whopping amount of 1.5 million dollars to veterans and first responders. His first donation was to the first responders fighting wildfires in California.

This was inspired by his role in a movie, "Playing With Fire," where he plays the part of a fire chief. During an interview with "Good Morning America" John spoke about why first responders are his heroes:

"...everybody asks me about first responders. I tell them they're my heroes, simply because they put themselves in harm's way…"

John Cena is a multi-talented superstar. He is not just a wrestler but also a New York Times Bestselling author, a musician, and a movie star.

The wrestler has been named the WWE champion a couple of times. Cena has released a hit album and appeared in fantastic movies, including "Trainwreck" and "Bumble Bee."

Although he is a great wrestler who does a lot of things to help people around him, he still receives hate comments. John takes dealing with hate as part of his job.

He has defeated many renowned wrestling opponents such as The Rock and Brock Lesnar. The star has also managed to amass lots of followers and subsequently has a fanbase known as Cenation.
