Katy Perry Gets Fans & Friends' Support While Struggling with Depression in Pregnancy
Singer-songwriter Katy Perry is getting candid about her mental health in the midst of the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.
During the global health crisis, Perry, 35, reflected on her perspective as of late. She tweeted, "Sometimes i don't know what's worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm."
The tweet apparently inspired an emotional response from her legion of fans. Alongside a photo of Perry, one person wrote that they love her so much and that they're together in this.

"DON'T BE STRESSED"
Another fan added that Perry's music is the main thing "getting him through it." Someone else commented, "Can I huge u? I promise I don't have the virus don't be stressed."
As reported by PEOPLE, the tweet of the acclaimed pop star came just three days after doing her bit to help the fight against the novel coronavirus disease.
The "California Gurls" crooner joined a who is who of the entertainment world. The mission is to raise awareness and also to donate for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.
SOME DAYS ARE TOUGH
To raise money, Perry, who pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager, performed during e-retailer SHEIN's digital entertainment festival, SHEIN Together.
Besides performing, Perry also discussed her pregnancy. While she's eager to be a mother, she revealed that some days are challenging.

VERY EXCITED
"I have five good days, and to days where I just cry when I look down at my toes, you know? I think a lot of that is probably hormonal," Perry said. "I want to wish all the mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day, I'm so excited and I think ready, to join your club!"
On March 5, Perry first shared the news that she's pregnant through the music video for her recent single "Never Worn White." In the video, the artist can be seen cradling her baby belly, PEOPLE reported.

She continued to uncover that she and Bloom, 43, were expecting a baby girl on April 3. Perry shared a picture of Bloom covered in pink cream at the time. In the caption, Perry wrote that it's a girl.
The upcoming baby will be Perry's first kid. Meanwhile, Bloom already has a 9-year-old son, Flynn Christopher Bloom, with his ex, Miranda Kerr, according to Harper's Bazaar.
Perry and Bloom postponed their wedding ceremony because of fears around the novel coronavirus pandemic. The beloved pair got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019. Their big day was supposedly set for early summer in Japan.
