Martin Lawrence's Ex-wife Patricia Celebrates Husband Emmitt Smith's and Their Son's Birthdays

Patricia Southall Smith, the ex-wife of the famous comedian, Martin Lawrence, took to her Instagram page to celebrate her present husband, Emmitt Smith, and their son, Emmitt Smith IV, on their birthdays.

There was celebration galore in the Smith household, with the patriarch, Emmitt Smith, and his son, who goes by the same name, celebrating their birthday on the same day.

The wife of the former American football star, Patricia Smith, ensured that the day was a memorable one for the family by posting an adorable message on Instagram in their honor.

In her post, the proud wife and mother shared a cute picture of her husband and son rocking t-shirts and shorts. Her husband's t-shirt had the words, "I Love my Wife" written on it, while her son's shirt had, "Faith Over Fear" as its inscription.

In the photo, father and son sat side by side on the edge of a table, smiling happily. In the caption to her post, Patricia gushed over her husband and son. She wrote:

"HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY HUBBY AND SON. I love the fact that you both share the same birthday, name, sport, position, and jersey #22!!!"

Patricia also said that she loved that her husband and son had the fiercest determination, loyalty, passion, and grit. She added that what she loved the most was being able to knock out two birthday celebrations in one.

The 55-year-old spared no expense in asking Moradfar to marry him, with the engagement ring reportedly costing $500,000.

Before marrying Emmitt Smith, Patricia Southall was married to Martin Lawrence. The former couple got married in 1995, at the Waterside Marriott Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia.

Some celebrities that graced the wedding ceremony include Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Tisha Campbell, and boxer Pernell Whitaker. Singers, Brian McKnight, Richard Smallwood, and Tichina Arnold, also performed at the wedding.

However, the marriage didn't last more than two years, with the ex-couple ending the relationship in 1997, before Southall married Emmitt Smith three years after in 2000.

Martin Lawrence didn't remarry until 2010 when he tied the knot with Shamicka Gibbs, his longtime girlfriend. However, that union also lasted two years, with the couple separating in 2012.

The actor and comedian hasn't married since then but is currently engaged to Roberta Moradfar. The 55-year-old spared no expense in asking Moradfar to marry him, with the engagement ring reportedly costing $500,000.

Moradfar is a businesswoman and describes herself as an Advanced Aesthetics Nurse Practitioner. She owns and operates a cosmetic spa named Efface Aesthetics, located in Santa Monica.
