HER COMPETITION STRATEGY

The reality TV star was used to singing low parts especially when she was with her group, Xscape, so she tried to shy away from doing songs with low tunes so that she wouldn't be recognized. Ultimately, Burruss saw the show as a boost of confidence for her to take risks and do what she wants to do.

"I think it's a boost of confidence. I didn't know I was going to win. Of course, you would love to win. I guess in my mind I wasn't totally sure. I wasn't totally confident about it. You just go in there and do your best."

LIFE AFTER COMPETITION

After being on the show, Burruss released a single called "Used to Love Me," which features Todrick Hall and Precious. She describes the song as a "fusion of dance and pop sounds with undercurrents of Kandi's R&B roots."

On top of all of her recent accomplishments, Burruss just turned 44 and made sure to thank her fans for their lovely birthday wishes on social media. In fact, she couldn't help but tear up as she was grateful for the love and surprises planned out for her.

Although she didn't expect to celebrate her birthday, her husband Todd made sure to prepare something special for her and that's what left her in tears. Ultimately, her one wish is for "the world to go back to normal" because she misses being with other people.
