Nick Cordero Is Suffering from New Lung Infection Amid COVID-19 Battle
Broadway star Nick Cordero, 41, has been fighting for his life against the novel coronavirus disease. Last week, his wife shared the latest update on his battle.
Amanda Kloots took to her Instagram Story to reveal how a new infection caused her husband’s health to temporarily go “downhill.” She started off her update by confessing: “It’s been a tough week.”
The fitness instructor explained: “Nick suffered from some new lung infection in his lungs earlier this week.” However, the positive side of this was that “since then he’s been slowly recovering.”

AN INFECTION IN HIS LUNG
Kloots shared how Cordero was “getting back to where he was before this infection came about.” Before his latest setback, the actor battled with a “lingering” infection in his left lung.
The infection has been there since he went into septic shock last month. In late March 2020, the star was first admitted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
BEING TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
At the time, his family had thought he was suffering from pneumonia. Kloots continued her latest by informing her husband’s fans that the goal now was for his slow and steady improvement.
She revealed how they hoped he’d be able to get off some of the medications he was on and for the machine settings to “come down.” Cordero has been on a ventilator due to the ongoing infection.
KLOOTS IS PROUD OF NICK
The fitness instructor went to share how proud she was of her husband for how strong he was to keep fighting. She confessed how exhausted she was in her bid to continue supporting her husband.
CONTINUING THE FIGHT
Despite the challenges, Kloots confirmed that “we’re still here and we’re still fighting.” She concluded her post by encouraging her followers to “hug your loved ones” and tell them “I love you.”
SINGING NICK’S SONG
The actor’s wife urged people to not take any day for granted. She also posted a fun clip showing her singing her husband’s favorite song “Live Your Life” while cradling their son.
SOME OF THE ACTOR’S COMPLICATIONS
Since his hospitalization, Cordero has suffered from multiple COVID-19 complications. Last month he had to have his leg amputated and has spent weeks being unconscious after being put in a coma.
