Marla Maples Says She Is Grateful to Be Joining Family on Memorial Day with an Airplane Selfie

Popular American actress Marla Maples is setting out to see her family for some time. Not even the novel coronavirus pandemic can hold her down.

Earlier this week, the former wife of President Donald Trump shared a picture of herself on Instagram. In it, she posed while on a commercial flight with a face mask.

Like millions of others,Marla looked to have suffered from the quarantine effect. Her hair looks a tad rough, suggesting that she's not had a proper makeup session in a long time. It's a situation that a lot of people can probably relate to.

She finished her look with a shirt with the words, "In love we trust" on it, as well as a purple jacket. She also accessorized with several necklaces, although the lack of makeup is quite visible.

In her captions, Marla explained that she'd like to be with her family in this period. If that means breaking travel rules, so be it. She said:

"I choose love... I do not choose fear... I will walk (and fly ? ?) in trust, faith, peace..."

Reports confirmed that Marla was on her way to New York. Her daughter, Tiffany, recently graduated with a law degree from Georgetown University.

However, her decision to fly is still a bit controversial. A lot of states are under restrictions due to the pandemic, and many have frowned upon traveling.

While several family members are politically-inclined, she remains non-committed.

Still, the airline she flew on appeared to be practicing social distancing. As Marla's picture showed, there was no one sitting beside her. She also had to put on a face mask, as did the person sitting behind.

The message appears to be a consistent one. Marla's Instagram profile comes with several messages related to love, positivity, and inner peace. She also reiterated her "zen" lifestyle in a recent interview, explaining:

"I'll do everything I can to remind people that any type of anger or judgment can truly have such a negative impact..."

She also explained that she has decided not to go into politics. While several family members are politically-inclined, she remains non-committed.

As reports explained, she and her ex, Donald Trump, always spoke about him running for office. He eventually did, but they were long separated by then.

Despite the access that she could have gotten to the White House, however, she has chosen to stay away. Instead, she has chosen to focus on other things. These include meditation, yoga, healthy living, and her Christian faith.
