Lauryn Hill's Ex-longtime Partner Rohan Marley Wishes Her Happy 45th Birthday in a Sweet Tribute

Rohan Marley's fondness for his former love, Lauryn Hill was evident when he posted a birthday tribute to the singer and mother of his five children.

Lauryn Hill’s longtime love turned ex, Rohan Marley still holds her in high regard. In fact, his sweet tribute on her birthday proves this.

Rohan, who’s the father of the singer’s five children and the son of reggae legend, Bob Marley, acknowledged Lauryn’s greatness when he posted a birthday tribute on his Instagram.

Though the couple never married and lived apart for most of their relationship, Lauryn would often refer to Rohan as her husband and he considered her his “spiritual wife.”

Sharing a throwback pic of Lauryn, now 45, Rohan used her song, “The Conquering Lion” as a sound bed. In his caption, he lauded her for being “the great queen” that she is and added,

“ONE OF A KIND , ONE OF THE SMARTEST WOMAN I KNOW .. Thank You for Being You. LIONESS ORDER EVER SINCE JAH LOVE.”

Lauryn and Rohan shared a long history that began way back in the 90s. Their relationship lasted for 15 years and bore 5 children born between 1997 and 2008 and a grandson in 2017.

Though the couple never married and lived apart for most of their relationship, Lauryn would often refer to Rohan as her husband and he considered her his “spiritual wife.” But in 2011, they parted ways.

There were rumors shortly after that Rohan abandoned a pregnant Lauryn but this turned out to be untrue. It was later clarified by Lauryn that Rohan was not the father of the R&B singer’s sixth child, a son she gave birth to that same year.

There were speculations too that Rohan was the reason the couple split. Rumors swirled that he got her assistant pregnant which proved to be false. In 2012, Rohan admitted that he and Lauryn simply grew apart.

Rohan explained that it came to a point when Lauryn was deep in seclusion due to her Bible studies and they didn’t share the same beliefs anymore. This is what ultimately drove them apart.

However, he clarified that they parted without bad blood between them. In fact, he confessed he could never hold any ill-feelings toward her even after he moved on with someone else.

Judging from Rohan’s recent proclamations about Lauryn, it seems Rohan held on to those words to this day.
