Niecy Nash's Second Marriage and Recent Divorce from Jay Tucker — Inside Their Journey
Comedian and actress Niecy Nash, best known for "Clean House," was married to Jay Tucker for eight years. Unfortunately, their "gorgeous ride" ended last year.
The former couple surprised their followers after sharing a joint statement on Niecy's Instagram account back on October 30, 2019. In it, they pointed out that they were better off as friends.
It is not the first time that she gets divorced, though.

After labeling their union as a "gorgeous ride," they admitted to feeling fortunate for the love they shared, emphasizing the fact that they still cared for each other.
Finally, the ex-married couple thanked all the people who supported them and their romance for their eight years together, finishing their statement with "we are grateful."
Although neither Niecy nor Tucker has officially described the reason for their separation, Daily Mail reported that things started to get difficult between the two due to the graphic sex scenes that the actress has been doing on TV.
Apart from that, the fact that they had to live in different cities from time to time when she had to shoot "Claws" in New Orleans also reportedly affected their relationship.

Shortly after their split was announced online, Niecy attended the 2019 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City, where she admitted that staying close to Jay even after parting ways was easy because they loved each other. She said:
"For us, it's easy, because we love each other. The love has just taken on a different form, but [he's] always gonna be my friend. Always."
After Niecy pointed out that she was not ready to start dating yet, she jokingly said that she would interview whatever woman "who's gonna be on his block" because she needed to make sure that Jay would be taken care of.
NIECY AND JAY'S RELATIONSHIP
Jay Tucker and Niecy Nash's wedding took place in May 2011 in Malibu, California. Ever since exchanging marital vows, they became one of the goal-couples in the entertainment industry, especially because she used to gush about how happy she felt with him.
One of their most memorable interviews together was posted on the OWN's YouTube channel in October 2018.

In it, the "Claws" star told how Jay, an electrical engineer, was getting too comfortable with another woman at a party. According to her description, he was laughing and looked like he was having so much fun. She added:
"If he's gonna laugh like that with anybody, it's gonna be me. I gotta go get my man back, girl!"
Jay finished the story by pointing out that, at the end of the day, it was not their chemistry that brought them together. Instead, it was her sense of competition.
Only a few months before parting ways, Niecy Nash was in another interview with Essence, wherein she shared some tips on marriage and relationships.
THEY USED TO BE A GOAL COUPLE
The actress confessed that the reason why people considered that they were a "goal couple" was that it was noticeable that they liked each other whenever they were out in public or on social media pages.
Niecy also explained that her marriage taught her that loving somebody else was not about giving the other person what's easy for her to give but what it is required.
It is not the first time that she gets divorced, though. Niecy Nash's first husband was Don Nash, a pastor. They tied the knot in 1994 and parted ways in 2007. The ex-couple share three children: Dominic, Donielle, and Dia.
Speaking of Dia, Niecy's daughter made headlines for graduating with honors from high school in 2017! As every proud mom would, the actress expressed her excitement over such an important milestone in social media.
Nowadays, Niecy Nash is focused on her career. From 2017, she has been portraying Desna Simms, a nail salon owner, in the TNT series "Claws," a role that won her a Satellite Award in 2018.
