Jake Anderson is commonly known for being quite the outdoorsman and featured in the Discovery Channel series "Deadliest Catch." However, the fishing captain is also a family man and shares three children with his long-time partner, Jenna Anderson.

The couple met at a music festival, and during a heartfelt Instagram post, Jake Anderson revealed that he and his mother never thought they would see the day the fisherman would welcome children, as he used to battle alcoholism.

When Did Jake Anderson and His Wife Meet?

Jake and Jenna met in Seattle during a music festival. The former was working on shipyard duty, and many of those attending the festival would approach the famous ship captain for his autograph.

Jenna was one of those people, and Jake admired her beauty. After leaving with an autograph, Jenna's nieces persuaded her to return and give Jake her number, leading to the couple calling each other and falling in love.

The couple eventually tied the knot in 2012 with a wedding officiated by ship captain Sig Hansen after a magical proposal. Earlier this year, Jake turned to Instagram to celebrate his and his wife's anniversary and shared:

"11 years ago today we were married at noon. Up to that point it was the best day of my life. Little did I know what was to come. Love you Jenna Anderson (sic)."

In January 2015, Jenna and her husband became first-time parents after welcoming their eldest son, Aiden Benn Anderson, about three years after marriage. Their family grew once more on June 13, 2017, when Jenna gave birth to their second son, Cadence Anderson.

The fishing star spends much time around his family and often documents their moments together on social media. In December 2017, Jake posted a clip of himself playing with his sons during the festive season, and in April 2019, the family of four enjoyed a trip to Kauai.

Jenna's husband gushed about how much she meant to him and praised her for being the best mother to their sons.

In July 2019, the fisherman posted an adorable snap of his son biting into a shark toy and humorously captioned the post, "Andersons BITE BACK! Haha Shark Week starts Sunday July 28 on @Discovery and my family is excited!"

"My mom Donna Anderson and I never thought we would get to see the day where I had children of my own. We both tragically assumed I would die of alcoholism long before. Mom I love you so dearly and have always said, 'I've been to hell, but then my mom came and picked me up.' You both are my rocks."

Jenna's husband has also captured their goofy side on social media. In September 2022, he shared a beautiful picture of the happy couple and wittily captioned it with their names. This year, Jake humorously posted a throwback of him and his wife at the 2015 EMMYs, where half of his face is cropped out of the photo.
