'Fuller House' Addresses Prison-Bound Lori Loughlin's Absence as Aunt Becky in Series Finale
On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, the final nine episodes of the 5th season of “Fuller House” were released by Netflix. In the episodes, the absence of Lori Loughlin’s character, Aunty Becky, was addressed.
Loughlin’s character failed to appear in the second half of the fifth season of Netflix’s “Fuller House.” During the last episode of the show titled "Be Yourself, Free Yourself," her character’s whereabouts were finally discussed.
John Stamos’ character Uncle Jesse happened to mention his wife, Aunty Becky (Loughlin), for the first time. It was the first time her character was mentioned since her March 2019 arrest.

JESSE ASKS FOR ADVICE
Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were both arrested for their involvement in the college admissions scandal. In the episode, Jesse reached out to his niece D.J. Tanner-Fuller, played by Candace Cameron Bure, for advice on a situation.
Jesse had failed to turn a playdate into an investigation where he hoped to find out who had bitten his daughter, Pamela. The young girl is his adopted daughter with Becky.
ASK AUNT BECKY
Jesse’s other solution to the biting mystery was for Pamela to bite the perpetrator back. In response, his niece asked: "You don't think you should run this by Aunt Becky first?"
WHERE AUNT BECKY IS
His uncle then clarified where Becky was stating: "Becky is in Nebraska helping out her mother." He continued explaining that he didn’t think it was wise to disturb her for something so small.
THE REBOOT
Realizing his uncle was deflecting the issue, D.J. responded: "Right, because she'd tell you not to do what you're about to do.” The show is a reboot of the hit sitcom “Full House” which played in the 80s to 90s.
LORI PLEADS GUILTY
Loughlin starred in all the seasons of the reboot but she’s now waiting for a judge to approve her plea deal in her case. She’s pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
THE SERIES FINALE
The “Fuller House” series finale featured the triple wedding of D.J., Stephanie Tanner, and Kimmy Gibbler. Stephanie’s character is played by Jodie Sweetin while Andrea Barber acts as Gibbler.
Loughlin’s character failed to attend the weddings.
