Following the COVID-19 pandemic, states across the world have gone on an obligatory lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.

Schools have shut down, and businesses such as beauty parlors and salons are currently not in operation, as every individual has been asked to self-isolate.

The 78-year-old actor tried to reach out to fans on Facebook to show them his home look. Eric's white hair was somewhat unruly and restless as it pointed in many directions.

That didn't stop him from wearing a funny looking closed-eyes smile, and he wasn't ashamed to say that it was "COVID 19 hair!!." After all, salons, where he could get a proper hairdo, were closed.

His fans fell in love with the look. One fan wrote that the actor still looked "fine," and added that everyone at home could relate to Eric's dilemma one way or another. Another stated that whether the actor's hair is messy or groomed still doesn't affect his appearance.

The "Young and the Restless" star has always been passion-driven in his actions. Born in Kiel, Germany, as Hans Gudegast, he was skilled in athletics and engaged in many track and field events.

Eric's son is a screenwriter who wrote blockbusters like "London Has Fallen," and "Den of Thieves."

This paved the way for him when he moved to America. Eric worked as a lumber millhand, a cowhand, and was good at translation. He was later granted a scholarship at Montana State University.

The "The Rat Patrol" star soon changed his German name, when he began appearing on on-screen productions. With numerous award nominations to his name and few wins, it can be said that he's attained a remarkable feat in his profession.

This year's February marked the 40th anniversary of his character "Victor Newman" on the "Young and the Restless" series.

While speaking to a news outlet, he said that taking a trip down memory lane "is very moving," for him and that it "brings back all kinds of memories."

The actor shares a son, Christain Gudegast, with his wife, Dale Russell. Christain did get daddy's genes as he is doing incredibly well in the entertainment industry.
