BROOKS LAICH HOPES FOR FATHERHOOD

Laich shared that he hoped the "world would be a better place" because one crucial thing for him is to become a dad! The ex-Ice hockey player mentioned that he wasn't ready for fatherhood in his twenties as he devoted all his time to hockey. He told his co-host:

THE COUPLE'S SPLIT

Towards the end of May, Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich announced in a joint statement that they were calling it quits. A close source revealed to Us Weekly that the famous duo had prolonged differences on "important issues."

Last month, Hough revealed that her endometriosis condition drove her to explore possible ways for fertility. The DWTS star made it known that so far, she hasn't been having symptoms of endometriosis, and she credited her dance routine for that.

HOUGH FEELS DIFFERENT

In 2017, the former "America's Got Talent" judge and Brooks Laich tied the knot. However, in subsequent years, Hough started feeling different. Laich wanted to make things work out, but he couldn't pinpoint what changes to make.

A close source confirmed this in a recent interview: "She is a deeply different person than she was when they got married, and she is proud of those differences and changes…"

THEIR FINAL DECISION

In months leading up to their split, the star couple took time away from each other and were in separate cities from the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the lockdown, Hough chose to stay in Los Angeles while her estranged spouse was in Idaho. This gave them time to think things through.

The two realized what was best for them and jointly decided on a separation. Laich and Hough, however, seem not to have any rift as they hope to remain friends.
