Ciara's Husband Russell Wilson Pays Tribute to Late Dad on 10th Anniversary of His Death

Russell Wilson, the husband of singer Ciara, took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to his late father, Harrison Wilson, ten years after his demise.

American football star and Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson is celebrating the tenth anniversary of his late father, Harrison Wilson's death. In a post on his Instagram page, the footballer wrote:

"10 years ago. We lost you. However, HEAVEN gained you. June 9, 2010. Dad, I miss you every day."

Accompanying the emotional post was an old picture of Wilson and his father that showed the latter in his college football jersey, embracing his proud father. Continuing with his caption, Wilson added:

"You helped instill Perspective, Vision & Belief in me. 3 things necessary for not only success but overcoming. Jesus blessed me with an amazing Dad in you and I will forever cherish my time with you."

In the concluding part of his post, Wilson said that if he could have one wish in the world, it would be to go on a ride with his father again, listening to "Earth, Wind, & Fire Devotion."

Wilson's wife, Ciara, commented on his touching post, saying that his late father was the only person in life that she wished she could meet and that she knew that the senior Wilson was proud of her husband.

Tammy Wilson, the star's mother, appeared on a podcast and revealed that she advised her son to treat Future like his own son.

Wilson is now a father, sharing a daughter, Sienna, 3, with Ciara, with the couple expecting another son. He is also a loving step-father to Ciara's son, Future, 6, who she shares with her ex, rapper Future.

Ahead of the oncoming Father's Day on June 21, the football star is looking forward to a relaxing day at home with his family and told PEOPLE that this year's celebration would be more special with a baby on the horizon.

Many of Wilson's fans have praised him for the way he loved Ciara's son, Future, with the footballer treating the 6-year-old like he was his own son.

The star's mother, Tammy Wilson, appearing on a podcast, revealed that she advised her son to take Future like his own son, even if it meant giving him his own name, adding that he couldn't be with someone if he wanted to treat the person's child differently.

Ciara and Wilson tied the knot in an intimate ceremony that was held in July 2016 at Peckforton Castle, Cheshire, UK, that had stars like Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland, and Lala Anthony in attendance.

They announced that they were expecting a child a year after their nuptials, and welcomed Sienna in April 2017. Their union remains exemplary and is filled with love and acceptance.
