Hank Williams Jr.'s Daughter Katherine Dies in Car Crash at the Age of 27

Country legend Hank Williams Jr. is currently mourning the loss of his daughter, Katherine Williams-Dunning, who recently passed away in a car crash.

On Saturday night, her brother, Sam Williams, took to his official Facebook page to let his fans know that his sister and her husband, Tyler Dunning, needed everyone's prayers.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN

It has been reported that Katherine was behind the wheel of her 2007 Chevy Tahoe when the SUV, which was towing a boat, crossed the highway median and rolled over.

The 27-year-old died on the scene while her husband was transported to a nearby hospital. So far, there are no updates regarding Dunning's health status.

HER LAST FAMILY PHOTO

Following the tragic news, Katherine's sister, Holly Williams, took to her Instagram page to share a family photo, the last one they took together not even two days before the crash. She wrote:

"I have no words. On Friday morning I talked the family into taking this picture and had no idea it would be our last together with my precious little sister Katie."

According to Holly, the family attended her great aunt's funeral on Thursday and is now faced with another one. Just like her brother, Holly asked her fans and followers for prayers.

Aside from Katherine, Sam and Holly, he is also the father of Hillary Williams and Hank Williams III

Katherine, who married Dunning on October 15, 2015, leaves behind a five-year-old son named Weston and a two-year-old daughter named Audrey Jane.

SHE HAD HER OWN COMPANY

The late mother was the owner of Weston Jane, a clothing company that revolves around the idea of "moms supporting moms," as well as "women supporting women."

Katherine took great pride in the company that she built over the years, which is known for selling products that are either hand-crafted or printed by mothers.

So far, Hank Williams Jr. hasn't issued a public statement regarding his daughter's passing. Aside from Katherine, Sam and Holly, he is also the father of Hillary Williams and Hank Williams III.

Williams Jr. is one of the most respected figures in the country music scene, mostly due to the incredible talent that he inherited from his father, Hank Williams Sr., who sadly passed away at the age of 29 in 1953.
