The pic was Knight’s way of paying tribute to her husband of 19 years. Though they don’t share any children together, they have 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren combined.
In her caption, Knight sent love to “each and every amazing father” adding, “You are appreciated deeply! Continue to protect, love and serve your families beautifully!!!”
Fans of the couple expressed their love by showering Knight's post with heart emojis. They also noted the presence of two singing legends in the pic who certainly looked divine wearing beautiful gowns for the occasion.
2001 marked the year Knight wed McDowell after three failed marriages to James Newman, Barry Hankerson, and Les Brown. With her fourth husband, Knight appeared to have found lasting love.
A day before their 19th anniversary in April, McDowell shared a throwback photo from their wedding day which featured their blended family. He also chose the moment to throw shade at those who didn’t believe in their union by writing,
“19 years tomorrow! take that haters!”
Meanwhile, Knight took to her Instagram, shared photos of them, and described her happiness.
“My life is so much better with you in it. “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.” Happy Anniversary babe!”
Knight and McDowell reside in North Carolina where they cozied up while in quarantine. During that period, they found time to wish their followers well.
Sharing a selfie of the two of them, McDowell assured friends and fans that everything will be fine while encouraging them to “think good thoughts.”
We too have only good thoughts when it comes to this couple who shares a picture-perfect love.
