Gabby Sidibe Rocks Red Outfit and Headwrap in Photo and Fans Say She's Looking Great
Gabby Sidibe's recent snap which showed the actress wearing a headscarf was a huge hit with her fans.
"Empire" actress and Academy Award nominee Gabourey Sidibe stunned fans with a recent photo of herself which she shared on Instagram.
The actress, who rose to prominence with the leading role in the Academy nominated film "Precious" in 2009, has built herself a dazzling career in movies and TV, and has a devoted following of nearly 2 million fans on Instagram.

GOOD TO GO
Sidibe stunned fans with a snap of herself in a lacy red dress, accessorized with a colorful African-print scarf in white, black yellow and red, which she confessed was intended to cover up a bad hair day. She captioned the post:
"When you got a meeting but ya twist out ain’t dry yet."
In the photo, Sidibe flaunts flawless makeup, accentuated with a deep fuchsia lipstick shade. Her eyes are smoky with dark eyeliner, and she completed the look with a gorgeous pair of dramatic hoop earrings.
PRAISE FROM THE FANS
The photo, and Sidibe's look, garnered hundreds of appreciative comments from adoring fans who told her she looked beautiful. One fan wrote wryly:
"How come on you this looks elegant and chic and on me it looks like I escaped from assisted living and got lost in the woods? Hmm. I gotta work on that. ;)"
Sidibe has been wowing her fans after losing 150 pounds after undergoing laparoscopic bariatric surgery in 2017. The actress, who once weighed close to 300 pounds is looking slimmer and fit and admits that she is feeling a lot healthier and that her Type 2 diabetes is under control.
A NEW LOVE IN HER LIFE
And her weight isn't all that's changed. Sidibe is in love, and dating Brandon Frankel whom she has described as “the cherry on top of this last decade and the foundation of the next,” and it is obvious that her one-and-only is equally smitten.
Frankel melted hearts when he started off 2020 with a heartfelt and impassioned message to the woman he describes as his "queen." He wrote:
“I love you more and more every single day- which seems impossible, but continually amazes me. Here’s to 2020- and thank you for loving me so unconditionally.”
END OF AN EMPIRE
The series "Empire" in which Sidibe has been starring for the last 5 years has come to an end, but not before giving Sidibe the opportunity to step behind the cameras and direct one of the last episodes of the final season, an experience the actress found exhilarating.
Even though Sidibe admits that she will sorely miss her co-workers on "Empire," she is eager to face her next challenge -- and who knows -- it might even be as a director!
