Kelly Ripa Shares Sweet Photo of Her Mother in Honor of Her 79th Birthday

Kelly Ripa shared an old photo of her mother, who recently celebrated her 79th birthday. The television host highlighted one of her mother's wonderful qualities.

Uploaded on Instagram, the photo shows a younger version of her mother, Esther, accompanied by Ripa's grandparents. It was taken at what appears to be a fancy party.

"Even though you are no longer acknowledging your age, I'd like to acknowledge your wisdom," Ripa wrote in the caption.

STYLE AND SUBSTANCE

There is no wonder why Ripa calls Esther, a wise woman. It was the matriarch who taught her to become a woman of style and substance, as reported by Closer Weekly. Ripa credits her sense of fashion to her mother.

The host did not only inherit her mother's intelligence, but she also learned trendy ways of wearing caftans from her. She revealed owning a lot of robe-like dresses, just like her mother. She once said of her mother in a 1975 chic photo:

"Here's the original kaftan/caftan wearer."

AWAY FROM PARENTS

Ripa had a hard time being away from her parents, as reported to Closer Weekly. The coronavirus pandemic made it difficult for her to see her parents in person.

She expressed regret not hugging her parents before going into isolation. When the quarantines began, Ripa and her family were in the Caribbean.

Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos, commented emojis on Ripa's recent birthday tribute photos of Esther.

THREE GENERATIONS

Ripa paid more tribute to her mother. She shared photos showing three generations of "Ripa women," as reported by Good Morning America.

She posted several childhood photos of her mother. She also shared photos showing herself, Esther, and Ripa's daughter, Lola.

Posting photos online was Ripa's public declaration of love for her mother. She wanted her fans to know how much she loves her.

Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos, commented emojis on Ripa's recent birthday tribute photos of Esther. Consuelo's co-star in "Riverdale" Marisol Nichols also praised the beauty of Ripa's mother.

Meanwhile, some fans noticed that Ripa and Lola look identical. They commented on an old photo of Ripa that she posted on social media.

Even though Ripa's hair is blonde, fans were impressed by her similarities with her daughter. The photo amassed more than 125,000 likes.
