Before Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger became official and tied the knot, the actor revealed that he was worried about his wife’s constant laughter.
Even though they got married in 2019 and are now expecting their first child together, there was a time that Chris Pratt was worried about taking things further with his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
According to E! Online, the actor made the revelation during an appearance on Rob Lowe's podcast, “Literally!.” After the host made mention of his wife's "unmistakable laugh" Pratt recalled the early stages in their relationship.
The insider also stated that it was Katie’s mother, Maria Shriver, that set them [Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger] up because they were both involved in the church.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star explained that during their first few days of dating, he noticed Katherine laughed a lot. However, as things progressed, he realized that she still kept on laughing heartily and that was when he started wondering if there was more to his then-girlfriend’s. In his words:
"I was like,'Uh oh, oh no. Does she have an issue? She's got a thing going on. This is why she's single.' I thought she was like the Joker."
Speculation about Katie and the 41-year-old Marvel star began in June 2018 after they were seen spending quality time during a picnic date in Santa Barbara, California. Once Chris and Katherine were linked to each other, the news of them dating spread like wildfire with many media outlets providing updates.
A source told Us Magazine that in addition to Katie’s family liking Chris, the duo was “really into each other.” The insider also stated that it was Katie’s mother, Maria Shriver, that set them up because they were both involved in the church.
Less than a year after that, the actor proposed to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter, and they walked down the aisle at San Ysidro Ranch, California, in June 2019.
In April 2020, Us Magazine disclosed that the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. The site noted that while it would be Katie’s first child, her husband shares a 6-year-old Jack Pratt with ex-wife, Anna Faris.
Katie previously told the outlet that she and Chris have made it a point of duty to surround Jack with happiness and love.
The “Rock What You’ve Got” author added that she and her man have “amazing friends and incredible family” along with “the most amazing resources to make sure that he feels safe and protected and happy.” Fans cannot wait for the arrival of Chris and Katie’s bundle of joy.
