Demi Lovato Mourns the Death of Her Beloved Grandpa Perry – What Happened?

Musician Demi Lovato is currently in mourning after recently announcing the passing of her grandfather, Perry. The star included several images of her grandfather to honor him.

On Instagram, Lovato, 27, sadly revealed that she lost her grandfather on Wednesday morning. She shared in the post how Perry had been ill for several years.

The singer confessed: “Although I’m relieved he is out of pain, it still hurts to think our family won’t get to say goodbye with a proper funeral for a while.” The star was probably referring to the guidelines set out during lockdown to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease.

A GOD-FEARING MAN

Most, if not all, states currently have restrictions on the number of people that can attend a funeral. They’re also rules that determine how funerals can be held.

I am heartbroken by the loss.

Lovato described her grandfather as a “man [who] loved God FIERCELY.” She praised him as one of the best preachers she’d ever witnessed.

HOLDING ONTO MEMORIES

The "I Love Me" songstress also declared her love for the late Perry. She apologized, in death, for not having taken enough photos with him.

However, she found comfort in knowing that she still had “so many memories to make me smile until we meet again someday.” She concluded her post by wishing him an easy rest.

LOVATO’S MOM MOURNS LOSS

Lovato's mother, Dianna De La Garza, also took to Instagram to honor her father. She candidly confessed that she was going to miss him now that he was gone.

THE BEST FATHER EVER

De La Garza admitted that she was heartbroken at the loss but happy he wasn’t suffering on earth any longer. She concluded by stating:

“You were the best Daddy in the whole world. I’ll love you forever."

DEMI GOT TALENT FROM MOM

Her post included a lovely photo of her and Perry hugging tightly. Lovato gets her musical talent from De La Garza who was a country music recording artist.

LOVATO’SSIBLINGS

Her mother had three daughters and she is the middle child. The singer’s older sister, Dallas, also happens to be a singer and she’s an actress too.

Their youngest sibling, Madison, was born in 2002.
