Terra Jolé and Joe Gnoffo Got Engaged Twice — inside Their Inspiring Love Story

Terra Jolé has been married to Joe Gnoffo for 5 years, but at one time it looked as if their relationship wouldn't survive.

Author and "Little Women: LA" star Terra Jolé's romance with husband Joe Gnoffo was a little stormy, so much so that the couple got engaged twice before marrying in 2015.

Jolé and Gnoffo first met in 2000 at a party, and for the next 15 years, their romance was a rollercoaster, with no less than two proposals, infidelity, heartache, and finally, a happy ending.

Soon after she became aware of his infidelities, Jolé confessed, she bolstered her bruised ego by cheating on Gnoffo

THE ROCKY YEARS

In her memoir "Fierce At Four Foot Two," Jolé opened up about her relationship problems with Gnoffo, which included infidelities on both their parts.

The main issue was that although he was living with Jolé, Gnoffo still had to get over a previous relationship.

THE FIRST PROPOSAL

Jolé recounted that Gnoffo first proposed on the way to a "Smashing Pumpkins" concert, pulling off on the side of the road and asking her to step out and dance with him. Jolé said:

"'Are you crazy?’ But then he looked at me and out of the blue asked me to marry him. It was the most romantic moment of my life.”

INFIDELITY

But that romantic glow didn't last. Jolé and Gnoffo were working together and living together, but the bubbly 4 foot 2 bombshell knew that all was not well. She wrote in her memoir:

“He’d say he needed to go pick up some things from his ex’s house and then he’d spend the night there."

Soon after she became aware of his infidelities, Jolé confessed, she bolstered her bruised ego by cheating on Gnoffo. She ended the relationship and went through a phase during which she compulsively dated, trying to get over Gnoffo. She wrote:

“I was getting out and dating like a hooker, [but] deep down I wasn’t happy without Joe in my life.”

LOVE THE SECOND TIME AROUND

A year and a half after their break up, Gnoffo and Jolé reconnected as friends, but soon those feelings resurfaced. In 2015, Jolé was pregnant with their first child when Gnoffo proposed again and Jolé accepted. She wrote:

“I knew I was ready to spend forever with this man. Joe was, and still is, the love of my life.”

BUILDING A FAMILY

On March 16, 2015, Gnoffo and Jolé welcomed daughter Penny, and three months later, on June 21, the couple tied the knot. Terra's brother Bourn walked her down the aisle and the reality star was a vision in her bespoke lace Mark Zunino gown.

WELCOMING GRAYSON

In August 2016 Terra and Gnoffo grew their family, welcoming son Grayson. Like his big sister Penny, Grayson also has dwarfism. He has inherited his father's pseudoachondroplasia, while Penny has her mother's Achondroplasia.

PENNY'S HEALTH ISSUES

Unfortunately, Penny was also born with a potentially life-threatening condition, hydrocephalus, and had to have surgery to install a shunt to drain excess fluid from her brain. The condition prevented Penny from reaching a few milestones, but she is now quickly catching up.

WELCOMING MAGNOLIA

In 2019 the couple announced that they were expecting their third child, and welcomed daughter Magnolia on March 11, 2020. Terra admitted that living through the last stage of her pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a trial. She said:

“With all of the fear surrounding us we are blessed to have the best news of our year. Our baby girl came healthy and happy."

Like her siblings, Grayson and Penny, Magnolia also has dwarfism, Achondroplasia, like her mom and big sister. Jolé has revealed that Grayson's pseudoachondroplasia might mean some surgeries in the future, but otherwise, he is a healthy and incredibly active 3-year-old.

LITTLE PEOPLE BIG FAMILY

Though Jolé has admitted that she is more than willing to have more children, Gnoffo feels that 3 kids are more than enough, and already feels outnumbered.

The couple worked through their difficult beginnings, and after going through the crucible of infidelity and separation are finally where they want to be: together forever, and with a beautiful family.
