"Real Housewives of Potomac" Star Ashley Darby celebrates her son's first birthday with an intimate surf-themed party.

The "RHOP" cast member and her husband, Michael Darby, are excited to be celebrating their baby boy's one-year birthday, although the COVID-19 pandemic might have affected the scale. The mother of one took to her Instagram to share numerous snaps from the close and intimate birthday party.

One of the posts features proud dad Michael giving the celebrant, Dean a taste of his cake, which he loved. The cake colored ocean blue had his name and age written boldly in gold and a few surfboards, leaves, and sand decorations to tie in the surf theme.

It would be recalled that at [RHOP's] Season 4 reunion, rumors about Michael Darby sexually assaulting a few producers and the host, Andy Cohen, were addressed.

Her second post was dedicated to her guests and fans thanking them for their goodwill messages. With a slideshow of photos and videos, the songwriter showed off how much Dean loved his party and his guests.

In her caption, she described her one year old as "the most incredible human Michael and I [Ashley] could've been blessed to guide."

According to the Washington Post, the proud parents whose relationship drama has aired on television since 2016 welcomed their first child together last year. The article reckons that the infant is Ashley's first child, but Michael's third.

After the birth of her son, the mother of one had experienced postpartum blues. People Magazine reports that the 32-year-old shared a video on her Instagram stories, talking about her transition into motherhood.

In the video released two weeks after her son's birth, she acknowledged that her husband had helped her recover by caring for their son and assisting with house chores.

However, in March, Bravo TV reported that there might be trouble in paradise following the release of the RHOP Season 5 trailer and press statement.
