How Fans Reacted to Cardi B's Daughter Kulture Receiving a Birkin Bag from Offset on Her 2nd B-Day
Offset’s choice of a birthday present for his two-year-old daughter proved to be divisive among the rapper’s social media followers, but his famous wife stepped out to defend him.
On July 10, 2020, Cardi B and husband Offset’s daughter Kulture turned two years old, and the toddler’s parents’ chosen presents for her have had people talking about how appropriate or not the birthday gifts they got for Kulture are.
First, Cardi, 27, shared on her Instagram account that she had given Kulture some jewelry to match hers, including a diamond-covered miniature Patek Philippe watch that according to the rapper, it was a gift from “one of [her] celeb friends.”
Being late in bringing his daughter a birthday present, Offset, 28, didn’t want his daughter’s milestone to go unnoticed, and he took to his Instagram feed to share a video of the moment he gives Kulture a Birkin Bag.
USERS REACT
“Late is better than never. I Birkin my baby,” Offset captioned the video, on which Kulture appears wearing a pink fairy dress with rabbit ears, and his followers reacted with criticism over the expensive choice of a present.
“That baby don’t want no damn purse. She wants TOYS. LET KIDS BE KIDS,” a user wrote in the comments section of the post. “Why does Offset look more excited than her?” wondered another user.
However, there were others that had a better opinion of the gift, with someone suggesting that “she may not want it now, but 10 years later, she will.”
COMING IN HIS DEFENSE
Following the debate on Offset’s post’s comments section, Cardi also wanted to share her opinion about the controversial birthday gift, and she stood by her husband, taking to her Instagram Stories to defend his choice.
Cardi denied that children, even two-year-olds, are only interested in things like toys and candy, saying that celebrity children frequently accompany their parents to fancy places and events where they need to dress and accessorize accordingly.
The rapper added that even if a child doesn’t have a sense of fashion and elegance yet, it is up to the parents to make sure that he or she is as well-dressed and stylish as his or her parents.
RED CARPET DEBUT
In fact, Kulture made her red carpet debut about a month before her second birthday, when she accompanied her mother to Tetyana Taylor’s “The Album” listening party.

Before going for a girls' night out at the Beverly Hills event in honor of Juneteenth, Cardi took to her Instagram account to share a few pictures of Kulture in her adorable outfit at home.
Later, Cardi and Kulture were photographed together at the event’s red carpet, and the two made a stylish mother-daughter duo.
