Princess Beatrice's Boyfriends before Meeting Husband Edoardo — inside Her Dating History
Before landing her prince charming, Princess Beatrice lived through some failed relationships. Her marriage to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020 presented the ninth in line to the British throne a befitting "happily ever after."
The British royal family experienced a cause to celebrate amid the pandemic following the wedding of Princess Beatrice. The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson of York tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints on July 17, 2020.
The royal wedding legalized the Princess's two-year-long relationship with property developer, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. It also signified the fulfillment of Princess Beatrice's quest for love marked by past failed relationships.

PRINCESS BEATRICE'S PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIPS
Long before the couple became a thing, Princess Beatrice Elizabeth Mary explored her dating options to the fullest. With notable names like Dave Clark and Paolo Liuzzo making the list, one would have thought the Princess might have made her pick sooner.
However, the seemingly rosy relationships, each lasting several years, turned rocky before making it to the altar.

PRINCESS BEATRICE'S AND PAOLO LUIZZO
The 31-year-old Princess's first publicly known relationship was with Paolo Luizzo. News of their romance came out in 2006, a year after the relationship kicked off.
Beatrice, who was seventeen at the time, met Luizzo through a mutual friend and was captivated. Barely a year into their relationship, a former charge of manslaughter against Luizzo surfaced, causing a major controversy.

The charge later got reduced to an assault charge, requiring Princess Beatrice's boyfriend at the time to serve a community sentence. The scandal surrounding Paolo Luizzo's life led to the duo's eventual split in 2006.
Luizzo's 2002 brush with manslaughter was hardly the last of his illegal escapades. In 2009, Princess Beatrice's ex made the headlines again after he was fined in Queensland, Australia, for cocaine possession.
PRINCESS BEATRICE AND DAVE CLARK
Shortly after her breakup with Luizzo, Beatrice met American Uber executive and Virgin Galactic businessman, Dave Clark. The pair hit it off almost immediately and began dating. They sustained their relationship for ten years, leaving many anticipating wedding bells.
Sadly, the couple split in 2017 after Beatrice reportedly gave Clark an ultimatum to either propose or call it quit. He chose the latter, and the pair went their separate ways.
Dave Clark's rebound after their breakup was even more dramatic than the actual split. The Uber executive began a new relationship with Lynn Anderson two months after the breakup. Barely six months later, Clark and Anderson did their nuptials with a glam Italian wedding.

EDOARDO MAPELLI MOZZI AND PRINCESS BEATRICE
In 2018, Princess Beatrice of York began her relationship with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a property developer. Mozzi, who has one son from a previous marriage, is notably a descendant of the Italian nobility. His father, Count Alex Mapelli-Mozzi, was a former British Olympian, making the royal groom a count as well.
In addition to his noble ancestry, Mozzi was a friend of the British royal family from his childhood. However, the duo only became romantically involved after their reconnection in October 2018.
One year into their relationship, Mozzi popped the big question with a 2.5 carats round diamond band. Princess Beatrice's engagement ring was designed by British jeweler Shaun Leane, with help from Mozzi.
The royal family went public with the engagement news on September 26, 2019, sharing pictures from the big moment on social media.
BEATRICE'S ROYAL WEDDING
Following the royal engagement, the lovebirds set their wedding for May 29, 2020. However, the planned glamorous event was postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The royalties eventually tied the knot in an intimate ceremony graced by twenty close relatives and acquaintances, including the Queen. The private event held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor's royal lodge.
