Gabrielle Union's Daughter Kaavia James Enjoys a Hot Summer Day in a Lemon-Printed Swimsuit
Kaavia James, the daughter of actress and businesswoman Gabrielle Union and retired basketball player Dwyane Wade again, proves that she's a stunner.
Recently, the one-year-old posted a picture on her official Instagram page, where she showed fans how much she enjoys the summer weather. Needless to say, this baby is summer-ready.
James' picture was a collage, showing her rocking a multi-color, patterned one-piece swimsuit. The toddler adds a pair of white sunglasses to her look, showing that she might have spent some time soaking up in the sun.
The first picture showed James holding a potato chip in her right hand as she looked at something intriguing in the distance. In the second, she wore her sunglasses — even though she appeared to be indoors.
James has so far made a name for herself over some of her facial expressions. The first picture might be just another in her collection. Captioning the image, she said,
"See, that's why I asked you who all was gonna be here. Now I can't enjoy my chips. ?? #ShadyBaby"
James' "hairspiration" might be a product of Union, who started a campaign to get black women to love their hair.
The video featured Gabrielle with Dwyane, Kaavia, and Dwyane’s daughter Zaya. With the novel coronavirus pandemic still in full force, the Wade family might be replacing the beach for a home pool this summer.
While James' colorful attire and facial expression were the stars of the picture, it's also worth noting that the baby is growing some great hair. Despite being just a year old, Kaavia James is sprouting healthy tresses.
James' "hairspiration" might have been gotten from Union, who started a campaign to get Black women to love their hair. Speaking on her obsession with natural coils, Union said to People,
"Your hair is a part of you, and it's an extension of you, but it has to start with self-love and pride in your Blackness and Afrocentric features."
Thus, Union is set to relaunch her hair-care line, Flawless by Gabrielle Union, on Amazon. The actress explained that she always tried to fit-in in school while she was younger. Since she was the only Black girl in her class, that led her to hate her hair.
Now that she's older, she believes it is essential that her daughters and many other Black women love their natural features. As she pointed out, everyone should have pride in who they are and their bodies. Eventually, living your best life starts with loving yourself.
