As reported by People, the actress, along with her longtime boyfriend, Ben welcomed their baby girl on Wednesday, July 19,2017.
Naughton had disclosed at the time that although the pregnancy had come as a surprise to the couple, she had been very excited and was looking forward to entering what she considered a new stage of her life.
As it turned out, Naughton and Ben broke up not long after, with the actress realizing that the father of her 3-year old daughter didn't fit the bill for the future she wanted:
''I don't want to be married if it's not the right marriage and the right person ''.
While the "Lottery Ticket" star felt very strongly about the break up as revealed in her song which she titled 'Stay too long', she confirmed that Ben wasn't going to be completely out of Zuri's life as the actress disclosed that she and Ben would be co-parenting.
In addition to that, BET noted that the actress had struggled for a long time in her relationship as problems began to come up after she got pregnant. The actress admitted that she had struggled with fears and unrealistic expectations in her love live, after which she decided to let go:
''I made a difficult decision to end my relationship because I had to put my needs first''.
As reported by Express, Naughton recently shared how challenging it was to get the role of Tasha St Patrick, wife of Power star, Omari Hardwick who played the role of James St Patrick, a successful drug dealer whose empire was on the verge of crumbling.
Although the finale for the Starz series was aired back in February, lots of fans are looking forward to the spinoff series Power Book II, which will feature Mary J Blige and of course, Tasha St. Patrick making a strong comeback in the series.
