According to Us Weekly, a source close to the family acknowledged that Kim has never gone forward with a divorce in the past because of their children.
However, with the recent happenings and rants Kanye has been going on about, she is considering it. The source intimated that:
"Kim has been meeting with lawyers to explore and talk about divorce."
Although the couple has had their fair share of troubles in the past, Kim has always wanted to make her marriage to Kanye work most, primarily because of their four children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
However, things seem to be taking a new turn as a source revealed that she was deeply upset by all that Kanye said, seeing as he made very personal and family issues become public.
If Kim wanted a divorce, she could easily file for one.
Similarly, an insider close to the family told People that the divorce between Kim and Kanye had been a long time coming. The insider revealed that the two had been talking for a while and had reached some agreement that their marriage was over. It was added that:
"They need to move forward in terms of structuring a split that can be amicable and healthy for both of them and most of all for their four children."
Another source said that the situation had become more difficult because Kim tried to get help for Kanye, and now, her family thinks he has crossed a line by talking about them in the negative light.
There seems to be a lot of controversy concerning the issue of the couple getting a divorce as someone else revealed that if Kim wanted a divorce, she could easily file for one. Still, since she had not filed, it meant she was not planning to divorce him at the time.
All these messy affairs stemmed from Kanye's social media rants and his controversial speech during his rally at South Carolina. He expressed that he and Kim had wanted to abort their daughter North and tweeted that he had been trying to get a divorce from Kim for about two years.
Things seemed to blow over when he accused Kim and her mother, Kris, of trying to lock him up, but Kim acknowledged that the family only wanted to offer Kanye all the help he needed as he battled with his mental illness.
