Catherine Zeta-Jones Opens up about Spending Quarantine with Michael Douglas and Their Kids
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the world, but Catherine Zeta-Jones sees a silver lining: having extra family time.
In an interview on “Today,” the “The Mask of Zorro” actress said staying in quarantine with her husband, Michael Douglas, and their two children has been “wonderful.” Speaking of their children, she said:
"So all of a sudden they descended on back into our home and it was just wonderful."
Zeta-Jones, 50, and Douglas, 75, share daughter Carys, 17, and son Dylan, 19, as reported by People. Before the coronavirus lockdowns, the couple were empty-nesters.
Dylan had gone to college while Carys was studying in Europe. Zeta-Jones said that she loved having meals together with her family while in quarantine.
The 17-year-old’s striking resemblance to her famous mother wowed fans, including celebrity photographer John Russo.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas, who has a 41-year-old son from a previous marriage, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony on November 18, 2000, in New York.
Describing herself as a homebody, the Oscar winner added that spending time at home was not new to her. She is happy while holed up at home.
Meanwhile, Carys has grown into a fashion-loving woman. As reported by People, the Chicago actress was joined by her daughter in a cover shoot for Vanity Fair Spain.
Last October, The mother-and-daughter duo had another fashion collaboration in Fendi’s #MeAndMyPeekaboo campaign in honor of the brand’s iconic Peekaboo bag.
A vintage-style video shows the “Chicago” actress and her daughter traveling around Rome while toting Peekaboo purses. The video features Mary J. Blige’s ’90s anthem “Family Affair.”
Zeta-Jones has received several awards for her acting, including an Academy Award, a Tony Award, and a British Academy Film Award.
As reported by Fox News, the "Rock of Ages" actress is building a fashion brand and a cosmetic line that caters to “everyday woman.”
Named “Casa Zeta-Jones,” her lifestyle brand includes vegan shoes, coffee, and make-up. It’s tagline reads, “From Everyday to Extraordinary.”
Zeta-Jones’ love for design began at a young age, influenced by her seamstress mother while growing up in Wales.

Recently, the actress shared a photo of Carys striking poses in a cream-colored dress. The 17-year-old’s striking resemblance with her famous mother wowed fans, including celebrity photographer John Russo.
Douglas also flaunted his beautiful daughter on his Instagram. In the photos he shared, Carys poses by the family’s garden overlooking the sea and also against a white wall.
