Ellen DeGeneres' House Was Broken into on the 4th of July – What Was Stolen?
Sometimes, even celebrities face the same type of problems as regular people do. TV show host Ellen DeGeneres and her partner, Portia DeRossi, recently learned that.
Reports confirmed that the TV show host suffered a home invasion recently. According to an official statement from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office, the burglars broke into the home on the 4th of July, making away with some items.
The press release highlighted that the couple's home is located in Montecito, California. It's unclear whether the two were at home during the robbery, as the release didn't state it.

So far, the police have managed to get a list of some "high-value watches and jewelry" stolen from the house. It appears that the physical properties were the only things affected.
The Sheriff's Office also opined that the home could have been targeted because of the couple's celebrity status. It added:
"Sheriff's detectives and forensics technicians have been conducting an extensive and on-going investigation."
The Sheriff's Office added that it was currently working with other law enforcement agencies on investigations. As explained, it appears that there have been some other celebrity home invasions in the area. Perhaps there could be a connection somewhere.
The news is coming off what has been a pretty rough month for DeGeneres. Last week, the TV show host confirmed that she had lost her dog, Wolf.
DeGeneres didn't reveal the cause of Wolf's death.
DeGeneres had shared a lengthy social media post, where she claimed that the dog had brought a lot of joy into their lives, and she hoped they managed to reciprocate.
DeGeneres and de Rossi are noted animal rights activists and animal lovers. They rescued Wolf — a poodle-Maltese mix — back in 2008 and have been parenting the pet since. The dog even attended their wedding.
Wolf isn't the only four-legged friend of the couple. They have three other dogs — Mrs. Wallis Browning, Augie, and Kid. The couple also acts as parents to three cats.
However, DeGeneres appeared to have had a special relationship with Wolf. He featured once on a throwback of her show, with the host calling him the cutest"in the world.
DeGeneres didn't reveal the cause of Wolf's death. Still, for an animal lover like her, this probably hurt. Thankfully, none of them appeared to have been hurt at the home invasion too.
