Cameron Diaz Gushes over Her Newborn Daughter Raddix: 'Best Thing That Ever Happened'

Cameron Diaz recently called her newborn daughter, Raddix, the "best thing that ever happened" to her life.

Speaking on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," the 47-year-old actress revealed that she is on cloud nine over being a mother. She said: "It's been heaven, Jimmy."

The actress shares her daughter with Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden, whom she married in 2015. They welcomed their daughter in late December, as reported by PEOPLE.

The "There's Something About Mary" star said her daughter is growing fast and that she now understood why she needs to cherish this time, as her friend often told her.

She added, "Literally every single day, there's just leaps and bounds ... and she's not the same baby that she was yesterday."

Diaz and Madden announced the birth of their child on January 3, as reported by Harper's Bazaar. But Raddix was born on December 30, 2019, in Los Angeles.

Rumors earlier swirled that the couple has either adopted or used a surrogate because Diaz was photographed at the end of November without a baby bump.

Diaz, who previously dated Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez, started dating Madden in May 2014, as reported by US Weekly.

They dated for less than a year before tying the knot on January 5, 2015.

She earlier said that marriage was the "biggest thing" she has done in her 40s, and that she had not really thought of marrying until she met Madden.

The musician is keeping a low profile, but he publicly greeted Diaz on her 46th birthday in August 2018, calling her his best friend and partner.

As reported by US Weekly, it was the Good Charlotte rocker's sister-in-law that introduced him to the "Holiday" actress. They dated for less than a year before tying the knot on January 5, 2015.

Madden continues with his music career, performing with his twin brother Joel Madden. For her part, Diaz has been lying low from her Hollywood career.

She took a break from acting after completing the remake of the musical "Annie" in 2014. The actress, who has starred in several blockbuster films, rose to stardom after landing a role in 1994's "The Mask.

While she has since been focusing on other aspects of her life at the moment, she is keeping her doors open to future Hollywood projects.
