Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey Tease Each Other in Sweet 'How to Lose a Guy' Throwback

Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey had an adorable exchange on Instagram under a throwback clip from their hit 2003 rom-com, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."

The 41-year-old actress uploaded a clip in which her character, Andie Anderson, storms off past Benjamin Barry, played by McConaughey while holding their "love fern."

She captioned the post: "Heard it was #TakeYourPlantForAWalkDay So, clearly I thought of one of my favorite co-stars... #TheLoveFern."

Her co-star, McConaughey, commented, writing, "Hate to see you leave, but love to watch you go. #ThatDamnFern."

In just two days, the July 28 post has amassed over 2 million views. The actress has over 12 million followers on Instagram.

As reported by ET Online, it was not the first time the pair poked fun at one another over their film. McConaughey shared a still image from the movie on his own Instagram.

He captioned it: "That damn fern." The actress then reposted it and wrote, "That damn fern...? That damn fern?!?! YOU LET IT DIE!"

The film theaters on February 7, 2003, according to IMDb. It centers on Benjamin Barry (McConaughey), an advertising executive and ladies' man who bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in ten days, in order to win a big campaign.

Hudson, who played "Band Aid" Penny Lane, reunited with Crowe and her co-stars Billy Crudup and Patrick Fugit.

That woman is Andie Anderson (Hudson), a writer for the women's magazine Composure considered the "How to" subject-matter expert. After her best friend's breakup, Andie is inspired to write an article titled "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."

Recently, the actress also celebrated with co-stars as Cameron Crowe's masterpiece "Almost Famous" turned 20 years old.

Hudson, who played "Band-Aid" Penny Lane, reunited with Crowe and her co-stars Billy Crudup and Patrick Fugit, as reported by Rolling Stone.

Crudup played Russell Hammond, a rock star, while Fugit portrayed journalist William Miller. The film has been hailed as the best film about a Rolling Stone writer.

In other news, Hudson recently showed off her flat midriff as she shared a snap of herself in a snakeskin sports bra top with leggings. The apparel comes from her Fabletics brand, as reported by Daily Mail.

The actress also recently uploaded an adorable photo featuring all three of her children — Ryder Bingham, and Rani.

In the rare photo, 21-month-old Rani Rose, whom Kate shares with Danny Fujikawa, stands next to her brothers — 16-year-old Ryder Russell and 9-year-old Bingham "Bing" Hawn. Kate shares the latter two with other men.
