Hugh Jackman Roasts Ryan Reynolds in Hilarious Reaction to 'Bad Education' Emmy Nomination

Hugh Jackman quipped that Ryan Reynolds is jealous of his Emmy nomination for his role in HBO's "Bad Education."

In an interview with "Extra's" Nate Burleson, Jackman opened up about the Emmy nomination. During the discussion, he also joked about his friend Reynold's reaction to the news.

"I'm an actor — we don't care about recognition. Just kidding," Jackman said. "It feels great. It was such an amazing team, amazing experience."

"THREE DAYS IN BED"

The actor added that from the moment he said yes to it until the moment it came out was incredible and that "this is purely the icing on the cake."

Earlier, Jackman took to social media to share Reynolds' reaction to his nomination. In the clip he posted to Instagram, Reynolds congratulates him and calls the news "crazy." The "Deadpool" actor then joked that "not crazy because you don't deserve it, well..."

When Burleson asked Jackman about Reynolds' reaction, the actor responded, "Oh, yeah, I predict three days in bed… Actually, I think Blake will be happy with that. He's a lot. Can you imagine quarantine with Ryan?"

FICTIONAL FEUD

For a long while, Jackman and Reynolds have had a fictional feud going on. In this manner, it was not shocking when Jackman figured out how to roast Reynolds in his Emmy nomination reaction.

On July 28, Jackman received his Emmy nomination for his spectacular performance in the HBO's television movie "Bad Education"

He said that he was feeling honored and humble and that he is thankful to be a part of a movie that he loves.

HONORED AND HUMBLE

In the film, Jackman stars as a school superintendent who takes millions of dollars from the school district. "Bad Education" was premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. It was broadcast on HBO in April.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jackman shared that he was in East Hampton, sitting still at their breakfast table when the Emmy nominations were announced.

He said that he was feeling honored and humble and that he is thankful to be a part of a movie that he loves.

Jackman also took to social media to say, "Congrats and thank you to the cast and crew of "Bad Education" on our [Emmy] nominations!"

Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, marked their wedding anniversary on April 11. The couple first met on the set of the television prison drama, "Correlli," in 1995.
