R&B singer Monica wowed her fans on Instagram with a picture of herself along with her daughter Laiyah and mom Marylin in beautiful white dresses. Here is why she posted the heartwarming snap.

Singer Monica is grateful for many things in life, and her mother's love is one of them. After all, Marilyn Best brought her into the world and supported her every step of the way as she unraveled her inner star.

On the occasion of Best's birthday, Monica took to Instagram to wish her the very best while also giving her fans a glimpse into the celebrations.

THREE GENERATIONS OF BEAUTY

"You have always been my greatest inspiration," the singer captioned a post featuring her daughter Laiyah and her mom clad in long white dresses.

After breaking up her longterm relationship with Rocko, Monica was not sure if she would ever find love again.

The three-generation photo saw the gorgeous ladies posing alongside a vintage car. In the caption, Monica could not stop gushing about her mother. She wrote:

"You have loved without judgment, instilled great things with diligence & provided love & protection all of our lives! We are because of you!"

Monica is an amazing mother herself. Besides Laiyah, she is the mother to her two handsome sons Rodney Romone and Romelo Montez.

MONICA'S TUMULTUOUS LOVE LIFE

Laiyah was born out of Monica's marriage to NBA star Shannon Brown in 2013. Rodney and Romone were born out of the singer's relationship with rapper Rocko.

After breaking up her longterm relationship with Rocko, Monica was not sure if she would ever find love again. That changed when she met Brown who is a former player for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Monica and Brown got married in a secret ceremony in 2010. The couple then had a bigger ceremony a year later. Three years into their union, they welcomed their daughter Laiyah.

Brown had a son from a previous relationship and their blended family of six was doing pretty well. Sadly, their relationship hit rock bottom and they could no longer make it work.

Monica ended up parting ways with her husband in 2019. Neither of them ever revealed the real reason why they broke up, but the singer once denied that it was because of infidelity.
