According to People, the 30-year-old royal shared a never-before-seen photo from the night before Beatrice’s wedding along with the caption, “Happy happy Birthday dear Beabea." [sic]
The last time Eugenie was in the news, it was for encouraging people to embrace their “scars” during this year’s International Scoliosis Awareness Day.
Here we are on the eve of your wedding. Still rocking a scrunchie or hair accessory (since the 90s) and huge smiles on our faces.”
The scrunchie that Eugenie referred to can be seen in the pre-wedding picture and the next slide, which is a childhood image that featured the princesses alongside their mother, Sarah Ferguson.
The post has already garnered over 160,000 likes, with over a thousand people dropping congratulatory wishes for Beatrice in the comment section.
Harper’s Bazaar noted that the Queen also joined in the birthday felicitations. Along with a picture of her and the celebrant smiling at each other, the monarch wished Beatrice a “very Happy Birthday!”
The sweet show of love comes nearly a month after People reported that Eugenie was the first wedding guest to talk about her sister’s wedding.
While dropping four pictures from Beatrice’s big day, Eugenie claimed that it was a “complete joy and privilege” to see her sister walk down the aisle with her man, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Just before that, the outlet noted that Beatrice and Eugenie were moved to tears during a Teenage Cancer Trust Awards that was held last month.
The emotional moment came when the award-winner, Enid Waterfall, disclosed that she became an “unstoppable fundraiser” following the death of her 21-year-old grandson, Richard, in 2018. In response to the story of the 85-year-old grandmother, Eugenie said:
“What an amazing thing to do in honor of his memory. It must be so difficult to go through that.”
The last time Eugenie was in the news, it was for encouraging people to embrace their “scars” during this year’s International Scoliosis Awareness Day. At the time, People pointed out that Eugenie shared a picture of the scar she got from the spinal surgery she underwent at 12.
Eugenie first opened up about her childhood scoliosis diagnosis back in 2018. She put the scar on full display in the same year when she rocked a low back dress for her wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
