Katherine Schwarzenegger & Chris Pratt Announce the Arrival of Their Daughter – What's Her Name?

Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband, Chris Pratt, have used a social media statement to disclose the name of their newborn baby.

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger “couldn’t be happier” about the arrival of their daughter, and they have the perfect Instagram post to prove it. To that end, Katherine uploaded an image of her and Chris holding their newborn’s hand with the caption:

“We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed!”

Although Chris shared a picture of Katherine holding Lyla’s hand with a nearly similar caption, he added that “both mom and baby are doing great.”

Katherine and Chris were first spotted together on Father's Day in June 2018 and then again in July when they took Jack along with them on a date.

Both posts have since garnered over 190,000 likes and 2million likes, respectively. Fans and followers have also shared their excitement at the tot’s arrival in the comment sections.

Several celebrities such as Josh Gad, Zoe Saldana, Jason Kennedy, and Chris’ brother-in-law, Patrick Schwarzenegger, also dropped their well wishes.

Amid the celebratory posts and comments on Instagram, E! Online noted that while Lyla would be Chris and Katherine’s first child together, she would be the second for the former. Chris shares a 7-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-wife, Anna Faris.

Lyla’s birth also comes less than four months since the news of Chris and his wife were expecting their first child together was confirmed following their 2019 wedding.

Now that their child is here, a source told ET Online that “the couple is so excited for their new addition and have been showered with love from their family and friends.”

The source added that being a new mother brought Katherine’s emotions to the top, especially when she got to hold her daughter for the first time. The eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver was also thankful for her husband, who was with her during the childbirth process.

Katherine and Chris' love story began after they were match-made by Katherine’s mother a few years ago. According to People, the pair were first spotted together on Father's Day in June 2018 and then again in July when they took Jack along with them on a date.

They eventually got engaged in January 2019 and walked down the aisle in June of the same year.
