Although they have shared many romantic memories over the years, his first date with Meghan Markle stands out for Prince Harry.

When he met "Suits" star Meghan Markle during their first date, Prince Harry found himself at a loss for words, as reported by Closer Weekly.

The 35-year-old royal opens up about meeting his wife on their first date in the upcoming book, “Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern Royal Family.”

The two met on a blind date at Soho House's Dean Street Townhouse in London, reveals royal journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who authored the memoir.

According to Scobie and Durand, Harry already had an expectation of how Meghan looked prior to the date. They wrote:

"He knew she was beautiful."

While most people would have awkward moments in their first meeting, Harry and Meghan seemed to have developed instant chemistry. Harry and  Meghan did not have dull moments together.

A source told book authors Scobie and Durand that the lovely pair chatted over drinks for almost three hours. As reported by People, one of Harry’s friends said that the prince was “in a trance”  while on the date with the actress.

Despite public criticisms, the couple has remained strong over the years.

The couple soon returned to the same spot the following night and asked a staff member of the restaurant to ensure their privacy. It was that moment when Harry knew that Meghan was the woman he wanted for the rest of his life.

At their next meeting, they went on a spontaneous trip to Botswana, the place where they got to know each other better. The two then flew to London before heading back to Meghan’s hometown in Toronto, where she was filming for "Suits."

The book revealed that Harry flew under the radar with one security person in civilian clothes. Their six-month secret romance, however, was discovered when the prince used a private car in Toronto.

The car became the topic of a Facebook group living near Meghan’s home. The couple ended speculations when they appeared as a couple for the first time at the Toronto Invictus Games in September 2017 after over a year of dating.

The book also revealed that Meghan was secretly engaged around that time. Despite public criticisms, the couple has remained strong over the years. Meghan managed to weather the storms with Harry by her side.

Other than their love story, the couple also revealed in the book the name of their rescue dog. The couple adopted the dog shortly after their wedding.

The couple’s four-legged best friend was called “Pula,” a black labrador. The dog’s name has a special meaning as it is the official currency of Botswana, the place Meghan and Harry dated.

Aside from the currency, "Pula" means rain in the Setswana language. Like the rain,  they considered their dog valuable and a blessing.
