Hello!: Prince Harry Sends Well Wishes to Newlyweds Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice, the first daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, tied the knot with her fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Her cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were absent.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were absent from Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Beatrice’s private wedding to her new husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

According to HELLO!, the Duke and Duchess were unable to attend the small ceremony due to the restrictions imposed by authorities concerning COVID-19. However, they made sure to send their warm regards.

The news outlet reported that a source close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed that the Sussexes privately congratulated Princess Beatrice and Mozzi with warm wishes.

Just a little over two years ago, the tables were turned, and it was Markle who was walking down the aisle to tie the knot with Prince Harry. That special day took place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on May 19, 2018.

Princess Beatrice opted for Windsor for her big day as well but chose the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor, where she and her younger sister, Princess Eugenie, grew up.

From the pictures of the ceremony released by Buckingham Palace, Beatrice and her new husband were both looking splendid alongside the equally happy grandparents of the beaming bride, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen.

Harry and Markle’s absence at the wedding, although with understandable reason, seemed to fuel the speculations surrounding Beatrice and her cousin’s allegedly strained relationship.

However, Harry and Markle were not the only ones absent at Beatrice’s special event. Many other extended family members were also not present at the small affair.

Among the absentee relatives were Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, also due to the unique circumstances amid which the wedding held.

Princess Beatrice is the older daughter of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York. CNN reported that the newlyweds got engaged during a romantic September getaway weekend in Italy in 2019.

The quaint wedding took place at 11 am on July 17, at the Windsor location. CNN also reported that the couple said they were both so excited to embark on their new life together as husband and wife.

Mozzi is a successful businessman and the director of a real estate company, Banda Property, and Beatrice is ninth in the line of succession to the British throne. The happy newlyweds are a match made in royalty heaven.
