Footballer Maurice Harris Gushes over Daughter Bailey in a Sweet Tribute on Her 6th Birthday

American football wide receiver Maurice Harris took to his Instagram page to share pictures and a video of his 6-year-old daughter Bailey's birthday and professed his love for her.

Maurice Harris' daughter, Bailey turned six on Tuesday, August 11, and the footballer celebrated her by posting two pictures and a video of her on his Instagram page.

The first of the pictures showed Bailey in a black dress that had butterflies all over it. She smiled happily and held in her hands a drawing that had "Kindergarten Memories" written on it.

In the second picture, the birthday girl was at a golf course and smiled as she showed off her golfing skills, taking a shot close to a hole.

In the video, a delighted Bailey was in a golf cab while blowing the camera a kiss. Proud dad Harris professed his love for his daughter in the caption to the post writing:

"Happy 6th birthday Bailey daddy loves you."

Harris shares Bailey and three other children — Brooklyn, Kaisley, and Berkeley — with his wife, Kayla Rodgers. Bailey's birth story is quite remarkable. The couple was still dating when they found out that they were expecting a baby.

It was a pregnancy that they did not plan for. Harris was in his sophomore year in college while Rodgers, who is a few years older than him, was already a mother to her first child and living far away from Harris.

Harris said that the fact that his wife understood the game helped a lot at home because she could grasp whatever was going on.

However, their initial fears at being parents to a baby soon turned to happiness as Harris soon got prepared for fatherhood, a role he has excelled in since Bailey's arrival despite his football career.

Harris was signed on a one-year contract by the New England Patriots in March 2019 before the club released him in August of that year with an injury designation.

Harris was signed to the club at the same time as Bruce Ellington. Their signings were not highly heralded because they were not household names in the game though both men were from families with great footballing histories.

During his time at the club, Harris found it easy to learn its notoriously difficult playbook though he had help from his wife who is no stranger to football. Rodgers' father is a football coach while her brother plays the game as a tight end.

In an interview, Harris said that the fact that his wife understood the game helped a lot at home because she could grasp whatever was going on. He also noted that Rodgers was very patient and supportive with everything.
