Glimpse inside Alec Baldwin and his Wife Hilaria's Beautiful Love Story

Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s love story began as if it were written for a romantic comedy movie eight years ago. Here’s a glimpse of their time together.

Alec Baldwin was a Hollywood star by the time he met yoga instructor Hilaria Baldwin by chance at a New York City restaurant.

The couple recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary and is expecting their fifth child after suffering two miscarriages in 2019.

BECOMING A COUPLE

The pair met in 2011 while dining in New York City’s Pure Food and Wine restaurant with their friends. Alec saw Hilaria and courageously went up to her to say: “I must know you,” before handing a business card.

She called him soon after, and the rest was history. They went public about their relationship at the 65th Annual Tony Awards the same year and were engaged in 2012.

“We’re all excited for the newly-engaged couple,” Alec’s rep said at that time. “Alec’s birthday is tomorrow -- great way to celebrate!” Hilaria became Alec’s wife after two months as they exchanged vows at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral.

GROWING THEIR FAMILY

On August 23, 2013, the Baldwins welcomed their first daughter, Carmen Gabriela. Their second child, Rafael Thomas, came short of two years later in 2015.

Earlier this year, the Baldwins revealed that they were expecting a baby, five months after they lost their baby within seven months.

Alec and Hilaria went on to have two more children, Leonardo Angel Charles in 2016, and Romeo Alejandro David in 2018.

LIFE AS PARENTS

Becoming parents was a breath of fresh air for the couple, although her husband already has a daughter, Ireland, from his first marriage. The yoga instructor said:

“Everybody says, ‘oh yeah, sure. I’m going to be with you, and I’m going to change diapers and do all these things, and you always be alone with your child and your husband’s going to be snoring.”

But Hilaria’s experience was different as her husband was hands-on and woke up every time their baby woke up. “He’s sweet,” she added.

EXPECTING ANOTHER CHILD

Earlier this year, the Baldwins revealed that they were expecting a baby, five months after they lost their baby within seven months.

The proud mom shared the good news on Instagram alongside a video of her baby’s heartbeat. “I’ll let the baby do the talking because I don’t have the words to express how this sound makes us feel,” she wrote.

The beautiful news came nearly one month before the proud parents celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary together.
