Dwayne Johnson Tops Forbes' Highest-Paid Actors List for 2nd Year in a Row
For two consecutive years now, "Jumanji" actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has dominated Forbes' annual list of highest-paid actors.
With estimated earnings of $87.5 million, 48-year-old actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson topped Forbes' highest-paid actors' list for 2020.
His massive income came from his upcoming Netflix film, "Red Notice," which earned him a whopping $23.5 million check, and also his Under Armour line, Project Rock.

Johnson, who was a professional wrestler before entering the world of acting, is followed by Ryan Reynolds and Mark Wahlberg, with $71.5 million and $58 million, respectively.
Streaming giant Netflix was instrumental in bringing hefty cash into the pockets of this year's highest-paid actors. It accounted for $140.5 million worth of checks received by the actors in this year's top 10 list.

With his wealth, it's not surprising that Johnson could acquire ownership of the XFL league. Fox News reported that the actor bought the league with an investment firm for $15 million.
Johnson, a former football player, partnered with Dany Garcia and Gerry Cardinale for the purchase. In his announcement, the actor said:
"[I] look forward to creating something special for the players, fans, and everyone involved for the love of football."
As for the second-highest-paid actor, Reynold's wealth has been growing since landing his first role on the Nickelodeon show, "Fifteen." He was also 15 years old at that time.
When the series ended in 1993, the actor took minor roles in a number of movies and shows, including "The Marshal" and "The X Files."
He landed major roles in the late 1990s and early 2000s, becoming a household name after the comedy film, "Van Wilder," was released in 2002.
Meanwhile, Wahlberg, the third highest-paid actor, started out as a rapper. At 13, he became a member of the group, New Kids on the Block," along with his brother Donnie.
Today, he is best known for his roles in the films "Boogie Nights" and "Transformers." His highest-grossing film is 2014's "Transformers: Age of Extinction," which grossed $245 million. In television, Wahlberg starred in "Out All Night" and in four episodes of "Entourage."
As for Johnson, the actor is a doting father to two girls, behind the camera. Recently, he treated his fans to an adorable photo of him playing with his cute daughters.
Johnson shares daughters Tianna and Jasmine with wife Lauren Hashian, whom he married in December 2019 in Hawaii.
