Gloria Estefan Reminisces On Happy Times Playing Mum as her ’Glee’ Daughter, Naya Rivera is Remembered on Andy Cohen’s Radio Show.

Grammy-Award-winning-singer, Gloria Estefan has paid tribute to Actress, Naya Rivera, a month after her passing. The radio interview was posted in a Youtube audio-visual which featured the 62-year-old talking about her fellow ’Glee’ actress.

The Singing sensation was saddened by the news, which has also left many fans in shock as to what went wrong. ”The Royal Family” star passed away on July 8 while boating with her 4-year-old son, Josey, on Lake Piru in California.

Stefan recounted moments shared with the late actress who played the role of her daughter, Santana Lopez, in the ’Glee’ series. We recalled how ”down to earth” Rivera was adding that they planned to create music together until she got married and got pregnant.

The multiple award winner also expressed how proud she was to have played mum to Rivera, 33. The mother-of-two relayed to Cohen that she realized’ something terrible’ may have happened to the ”Glee” co-star as news later reached her that her son was on board the boat with her. She said:

”deep down inside as a mom, you know that she would never have left that baby alone on the boat.”

The Cuba-born singer is no stranger to hard times. She suffered severe injuries to her back in a tour bus accident, which paralyzed her 30 years ago.

After her journey to recovery, She shared in an interview that one thing she learned from life is that if fear creeps in, ”don't give it energy.” This is timely as the family and fans of the late three-time Grammy nominee would surely need every word of comfort they can get.

Until her death, she shared her son, Josey, with ex-Husband, Ryan Dorsey, who is currently looking after their son. The Actor and father of one posted a tribute on July 25 via his Instagram page in honor of the mother of his son.

He was glad that he took a lot of snap chat videos of the later actress and mother against her wishes. In his comments, he is happy that their son will have memories of his mother, and ”he’ll never forget where he came from.”

After the ”Young Artist Award” nominee’s body was found, the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed her cause of death to be drowning by accident.

Naya Rivera was later laid to rest on July 24 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetry, Hollywood Hills, California.
