Legendary basketball star Kobe Bryant's death is like a terrible dream that his loved ones wish they could wake up from. Sadly, it is a hard truth that they have to live with every moment.

On August 23, the late Los Angeles Lakers star would have turned 42 years old. He might no longer be in the world, but his family made sure that they commemorated the special day.

NATALIA'S EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE

Natalia Bryant, the eldest daughter of Kobe, paid an emotional tribute to her late father to wish him a happy heavenly birthday on Instagram and it was the sweetest thing ever.

The 17-year-old posted a sweet picture of Kobe holding her when she was a baby. The loving father touched his baby daughter's chin as she sat on his lap, looking bright as a daisy.

Vanessa wished her daughter, Gianna, and husband were still here to celebrate his birthday.

Alongside the photo, Natalia penned a heart-wrenching caption, sharing how much she misses her dad's smile, laughter, and his bear hugs.

WHAT SHE MISSES THE MOST

She went on to call Kobe the best "movie buddy" she ever asked for. Among the most cherished memories of his that Natalia holds dear to her heart is when they would head out for late-night drives to the movie theater with their windows rolled down as they listened to their favorite songs.

Natalia concluded her caption by expressing her infinite love for her father. Thousands of fans and well-wishers took to the comment section to show their love for Kobe and his family.

VANESSA'S EMOTIONAL MESSAGE

Kobe's wife Vanessa would not miss the occasion for the world to shower her late husband with love. She took to her Instagram to pay a touching tribute to him.

Vanessa wished her daughter, Gianna, and husband were still here to celebrate his birthday. She went on to share how her family's life has changed ever since Kobe and Gianna aka "Gigi" passed away.

The mother-of-four also expressed how it was unfair that her husband and young daughter lost their lives so soon. She emotionally said that she should have been the one to go first.

Lastly, she shared that she misses their daughter Gigi who she thinks was celebrating her father on his special day. She concluded by wishing Kobe a happy birthday from all of their daughters' behalf.
